The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 229

Nolan shook his head and called Blake.

"Mr. Greene, you finally remember me! Do you have an important task for me? Don't worry. I'll do anything for you, even if I have to risk my life!" Blake sounded excited, and it felt like he was playing some game with Nolan.

Nolan sighed and said, "I really do have a life-risking task for you. Do you dare to do it? Alright. Let's cut the crap. I'm calling you because I need you to do something for me."

Then, he whispered Blake's tasks over the phone. Blake became more and more excited as he listened, and he confidently promised he could complete his mission.

After that, Nolan ended the call. Shortly after the call ended, he received another call from Fang.

"Mr. Greene, I've attacked Gregory's territory in Eastern State. Weirdly enough, he's actually not doing anything about it. I don't know what he's planning, but do you think I should press on faster?"

When Nolan heard that, he said with a chuckle, "A sly fox like him will always do something with a reason. However, even if he has a thousand tricks up his sleeves, it'll be useless. When he's facing absolute power, the only choice he has is to get crushed!

"Fang, you don't have to ask me anything like this anymore. You know what you have to do, so just do it. I'll just wait for the results. Also, don't worry about anything. Once Scarlet has arrived, I'll send him to help you."

Upon hearing that Scarlet was returning to help him, Fang was excited at first. Then, he said hesitantly, "Mr. Greene, why don't we forget about it? I think I can still handle this myself, so let's not trouble Mr. Scarlet."
