The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 240

After entering the cave, there was a nice gentle breeze. It wasn't suffocating inside at all. Instead, it felt more and more refreshing inside.

Nolan called the place Misty Cave. Not only did they empty out a hill to build it, but the cave itself was naturally there in the beginning. They just improved the initial cave further.

Of course, the place wasn't completed yet. After all, only Nolan could perform some of the process and bring out the full potential of the cave.

There was natural light in the cave and a natural pond that was so deep that the bottom couldn't be seen. There was also a small river running through the cave. Not only that, but there were some plants in there too. It was such a beautiful place that it felt magical.

"I guess the cave will finally become a paradise after I've transformed it with the Eternal Sovereign Technique. Although the essence here is high, it still isn't enough. I need to collect more resources and form a cultivation spot.

"But there's no need to rush it yet. I'll just decorate the place for now and do the rest after I've moved in."

After that, he started getting busy in Misty Cave. When he was done, the sun had already set, and the moon was high up in the sky. He stretched his back and finally left the cave.

Sirius had been standing guard at the foot of the hill. When he saw Nolan, he immediately approached the latter.

"Mr. Greene, you're finally out! Since you didn't have any lunch, I've asked the cook to prepare dinner for you. All the food was made from natural ingredients found in the woods, so why don't you give them a taste?"

Although Nolan wasn't hungry, he was still human. So, he couldn't avoid eating all the time. He also couldn't resist having some good food.

"Where are the people who are monitoring me? Are they getting anxious? You didn't starve them, did you?"

Sirius hurriedly said with a smile, "Don't worry, Mr. Greene. They're all waiting patiently and not feeling anxious at all. Also, I didn't starve them at all. They seemed to have enjoyed their lunch a lot, and it was as if they hadn't eaten anything in a long while.
