Wayne had just told Nolan to apologize. Did Nolan really have no temper?
He had been holding himself back since meeting his parents today because he was in debt to his parents and respected them. However, he owed the others nothing.
Why should he apologize?
Nolan gradually stood up and looked at Wayne. He said in a deep voice, "Dad, you've been telling me to apologize to Megan since we met today. Did you know what happened between us? Did you listen to my explanation?
"Why? Am I the bad guy only because I was imprisoned?"
Wayne was about to lose it when he heard Nolan talking back, but Melody stopped him.
"It's okay. You'll see Megan's true colors and know everything happened between us. Then, you'll know it's a huge mistake to make me apologize and sit here.
"As for Tyler, who does he think he is? He's my brother-in-law, but what kind of person he is? Is he nice to my sister? Does he treat both of you well? Did you forget how he made my life difficult in the past?
"You still hold the 40% share of Village Enterprise which I own, and Tyler wants to make sure you guys don't stir up trouble. If not because of all this, do you think he'll treat you so nicely these years?
"Ha ha! This is absurd! It's fine if I don't check the financial reports. I don't mind it. But I can't put up with this mistreatment!"
With that, Nolan stared at Tyler and sneered. "Tyler, listen up. I won't let you get away with this. You can also tell the person behind you that I'm back. It's impossible to fool me!
