The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 384

Everyone was full of smiles because of Megan's words except for Nolan. He stared at Megan and scoffed. "You're really rich. But is money the issue?

"I swore that no one could bully me and my family. I have to stand up for my family and teach some people a lesson. It's as simple as that!"

After saying that, Nolan looked at his parents and said, "Dad, Mom, I don't want to make you angry. I won't explain much today. However, remember that I won't put up with the mistreatment, and I'll never allow anyone to mistreat you!"

Melody was afraid that Wayne might get infuriated and slam the table again, so she quickly held Nolan's hand and said, "Son, we aren't mistreated. I know you're worried about us and want the best for us. But it's okay. We're doing fine. Listen to me. Stop talking about this. Let's eat."

Seeing how worried Melody was, Nolan couldn't bring himself to say another word. Just then, the door to the private room was pushed open, and a man in his 40s brought two waiters in.

"Ms. Turner, I've heard from the waiter that you're here for a meal with your family. Am I bothering you all?"

The man walked up to Megan and smiled apologetically.

Megan remained seated and nodded with a smile. "Mr. Zimmerman, no worries. Are you here because of something?"

Ivan Zimmerman smiled and said, "I've heard your family is here, so I've brought two bottles of good wine. Besides, I've told the chef to prepare a few more dishes. Ms. Turner, you and your family should enjoy yourself. I'll stop bothering you all now."

After saying that, Ivan instructed the waiters to place the wine there and left right away.

Only then did Megan explain with a grin, "Dad, Mom, Mr. Zimmerman is the restaurant manager. He was here to send something. It's okay. Let's eat."

Tyler chuckled and praised, "Megan, you're well respected! You're only here for a meal, but even the restaurant manager came to butter you up.
