Nolan had said that his house had a nice view and fresh air, and it was surrounded by mountains and sea.
Megan chuckled at his words. "Nolan, why does it sound like your house is on a mountain and in the countryside?
"Did you find a place in the mountains? Are you bringing Dad and Mom to stay in the countryside with you instead of the city?"
Megan got half of the facts right.
Just when Nolan wanted to speak, Tyler shook his head and said, "Dad and Mom have just left the countryside. It's funny if they return to stay there.
"Nolan, I know you're a prideful person, but you should consider the situation. Do you think it's a good idea to make your parents travel back and forth just to make you look good?"
Wayne and Melody exchanged glances and nodded, then said, "Nolan, there's no need for the hassle. We'll stay at Megan's place. You must stay with us too. It's settled."
Nolan's parents didn't have much thought. They didn't mind staying anywhere. Most importantly, they wanted their daughter-in-law, Megan, to be happy. They hoped to make Nolan and Megan get back together. Hence, they definitely couldn't separate the two.
Nolan had to stay with his parents at Megan's house. It'd be better for them to talk things out once they stayed together.
Megan looked at Nolan and narrowed her eyes. Smiling, she said, "Nolan, let's go home. Don't make Dad and Mom sad."
Upon hearing that, Nolan's lips curled into a mocking grin. "Okay then. I'd like to see what tricks you're going to pull!"
Nolan stopped speaking after that.
After Nolan and the others left, Jeanne stood at the hotel door with a complicated expression.
Nolan had rejected her, and she had expected that. However, that also meant it was probably true. She had missed a great opportunity.
