With Nolan's current capabilities, it was easy to investigate how his family had lived over the years and whether they had been mistreated.
Not only did he ask Scarlet to look into his older siblings' situations, but he also tasked him with examining the state of Village Enterprise. Since Nolan had decided to act, he wasn't going to let anyone who treated his family unfairly off easily.
While Nolan could have chosen harsher and more violent means to handle everything, he decided instead to confront these matters publicly.
He would make sure they received the punishment they deserved while also giving his parents peace of mind.
After arriving at Misty Hill, Nolan went straight to Misty Cave through the back hill. By the time he emerged, it was already evening.
Archie and Lincoln had been waiting outside for quite some time. When they saw Nolan, they greeted him respectfully, as if Nolan was a superior who controlled their fates. "Mr. Greene, did you need us for something?" they asked.
Nolan nodded in response and sat down on a chair on the lawn. "Take a seat. Have you dealt with your matters at home?"
Archie's expression betrayed a hint of sadness at Nolan's question. He nodded. "Yes. I've broken all of that ungrateful bastard's limbs and locked him up. He won't harm anyone ever again.
"However, I hope you will forgive me, Mr. Greene… I spared his life."
Nolan nodded in understanding. "He's your son after all. I get that you can't bring yourself to do it no matter how much he disappointed you. I won't get involved in your family matters. Just handle them as you see fit."
Archie and Lincoln exhaled in relief at that. After all, Shaun had offended Nolan pretty badly. They had been worried the reason they were summoned was because Nolan was dissatisfied with how they had punished Shaun and Nolan might insist on having Shaun executed.
