Nolan had never been so enraged, not even when he endured plenty of injustice himself. But the instant he read the documents in the file, his anger reached a breaking point.
Tyler never managed to quit gambling. In fact, his habit only grew worse, leaving him saddled with massive debts. He'd even mortgaged his house and car and went as far as secretly mortgaging Nolan's parents' home.
He had also abused his position as head of security and colluded with Village Enterprise executives to siphon off shares and profits that rightfully belonged to Nolan's parents.
And this was only the financial side of things.
The worst part was how Liana seemed to be in the hospital constantly, with bruises that never faded. Tyler had been taking out his gambling losses on her, beating her mercilessly. There were even pictures in the file, showing Liana covered in multiple bruises and scars.
"That son of a bitch! I'm not going to let him get away with this!" Nolan took a deep breath, not bothering to read any further. He'd read enough.
He was going to kill Tyler, and not even Liana's pleas would save him.
Turning to the report on Sharon Peach, Niall's wife whom he had yet to meet, Nolan hoped the situation would be better, only to be shocked again.
Niall had the most physically demanding work at Village Enterprise, while Sharon became the superintendent in just two years. She'd even set up a small convenience store within the enterprise, earning a hefty profit.
However, it seemed like the money was no more than a share of dirty dealings.
