The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 397

Meanwhile, in the car heading to Eastland, there was another passenger with Nolan and Scarlet. It was none other than Gregory's most trusted man—Ironhead.

Ironhead wasn't tied up and sat unrestrained in the back seat. Knowing how skilled Scarlet was, Ironhead didn't dare make any sudden movements, but he couldn't keep his mouth shut.

"You'd better let me go, or Gregory won't spare you. I know you're strong, but so what? You have no idea how terrifying Gregory is."

In response, Scarlet leaned over and slapped him hard across the face. "If you've got something to say, say it respectfully. Otherwise, keep your mouth shut."

Ironhead fumed silently, not daring to protest. From his expression, it looked as if he had been gravely wronged.

Nolan looked at Ironhead indifferently. "Think it's unfair? Think we did not win an honorable fight?"

Ironhead let out a grunt and turned away.

Nolan ignored Ironhead and continued, "From the moment Scarlet took your men down, you should have recognized the disparity in your strengths. You can't accept the truth? Then it's probably because you haven't seen it for yourself yet.

"It doesn't matter how you feel. I'm in a bad mood today, and I'm going to show you how I kill!"

Nolan sighed and shook his head before adding, "I wasn't planning on killing anyone, but unlucky for you, and for Gregory, I'm in a terrible mood."

Ironhead scoffed, unimpressed. "Nolan, no need for all this big talk. Do you know how many men Gregory has? You'll regret going after him like this."

Nolan nodded. "Then make me regret it."

He looked at the time and shut his eyes. "Wake me up when we get to Eastland. I'm going to rest and clear my head. Otherwise, I may not be able to control myself later."
