"Nolan, you've hidden your cards well. Fang turned out to be working for you all along. If you'd said so earlier, perhaps things wouldn't have turned out like this.
"But if you think this is enough to take down Gregory, then you're dead wrong. I can tell you're planning to attack him, but I'd advise you to stop now while you still can. Otherwise, you'll regret it. All of you are no match for Gregory!
Fang couldn't believe Ironhead was trying to stir up trouble for him right in front of Nolan. He was about to clap back when Nolan spoke calmly.
"Maybe you're right. Gregory must have plenty of tricks up his sleeves. He might even be prepared for our attack. But that doesn't matter because I sent Scarlet here tonight. So, nothing will go wrong.
"More importantly, I'm in a bad mood, so I decided to come along myself. Things will definitely not go wrong. Tonight, Gregory's power will fall. Do you believe me?"
Nolan had on an indifferent expression, yet his words were filled with an almost arrogant certainty. Ironhead wanted to say no, but instead, his brows knitted tightly, his words failing him.
As the minutes ticked by, Fang waited for good news.
By 12:30 a.m., reports of their success began flooding in. One of Gregory's bars had been taken, and his men were under their control. One of Gregory's clubs had been ambushed, and it had been a decisive victory. Everything seemed to be going well.
But soon, things took a turn. The two teams approaching from the east had been ambushed by Gregory's forces, with nearly everyone detained. The attack had failed.
Fang's expression darkened instantly. He wasn't just frustrated by the failed ambush, but because that meant Gregory's side had known about the plan in advance. This could spell trouble for their other attacking teams as well.
Sure enough, before Fang could react, more reports came in that hundreds more of their men had been ambushed, with their attacks also failing.
Fang trembled uncontrollably as he stepped toward Nolan and stammered, "Mr. Greene, I'm sorry to disappoint you. It appears our ambush tonight will fail."
