Nolan moved like lightning, his ghostly figure darting through the chaos, untouchable and unstoppable. Wherever he passed, it felt as though death itself had arrived.
One by one, the crowd collapsed.
The blood pooling on the ground flowed like a crimson river, painting the battlefield in a scene of utter carnage.
The rain poured harder, thunder rumbled, and lightning tore through the sky, illuminating the night and the hellish chaos below. The flash of light revealed Nolan's face—calm yet terrifying, stained with blood.
Mad Dog stood frozen, watching in horror as Nolan rampaged through his men like a tiger among sheep, his blade mercilessly cutting them down. With every strike, Mad Dog's fear grew, his face pale and his eyes wide with terror.
"Madman... You're a madman! Where the hell did you come from?!
"This strength—it's not human! You must be a Grandmaster—or even a Supreme Grandmaster!"
Mad Dog felt his resolve crumble. He could see it clearly—Nolan's strength was far beyond anything he could contend with. Every movement of Nolan's blade carried unrelenting fury, each strike fueled by an insatiable thirst for blood.
Before long, only two of Mad Dog's men remained standing by his side. The rest lay lifeless in pools of blood, their bodies broken. Those who still clung to life wouldn't survive unscathed—if they lived at all.
"Who are you?!" Mad Dog's voice shook as he stared at Nolan. "We have no quarrel with you! Why are you doing this?!"
Drenched in blood, Nolan continued to advance, his long blade gleaming ominously under the storm. When he finally spoke, his voice was cold and calm.
"This is your last chance. Sever, or be severed."
The words hung in the air like a death sentence.
Mad Dog stood still, trembling, but his remaining subordinates couldn't endure the pressure. They no longer saw Nolan as a man, he was a demon. They couldn't disobey; they didn't want to die.
"Sever! We'll sever!" they shouted, their voices trembling.
