"What's going on here?"
"How is Mad Dog here? Among all the forces we deployed, his group was the one I trusted most. If he hadn't insisted on taking a break, he wouldn't have even needed to oversee things personally."
"But now… What is this supposed to mean?"
Gregory's composure wavered as his gaze landed on Mad Dog, who was missing an arm.
It was hard to believe that his top fighter, Mad Dog, someone he could always count on had reduced to this state.
"And Nolan? Wasn't he in Bellington? How is he here too?"
"Could this be someone from Bellington?"
Gregory's men, their teeth clenched, stepped forward.
"Gregory, let us handle this. Not only has this guy injured our men so brutally, but he's probably behind the trouble with our other groups. And now, he dares to come here looking for a fight? We'll show him just how bold he really is!"
Gregory's eyes narrowed as he spoke in a low, steady voice.
"Look closely. Is this the same master-level fighter who attacked before?"
Even as he said it, Gregory dismissed the idea with a shake of his head.
"No, it can't be. The build is different, the clothes don't match, and the direction doesn't add up. It seems this time, we're dealing with another formidable enemy entirely."
A moment passed as Gregory's jaw tightened, his eyes flashing coldly.
"Let them come up."
His subordinates instantly protested.
"That's too dangerous, Gregory! If this person is as strong as he seems, he could pose a direct threat to you. We can't allow it!"
"Exactly! Let us take care of this. Together, we're more than a match for any master. And with the number of men we have here, even a god wouldn't leave alive!"
Gregory shook his head firmly.
