The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 431

Wayne's expression darkened.

"Don't be afraid, Megan. That brat would never dare do something like this to you."

Although Wayne was very angry at Nolan, he still wanted to preserve his image, as he was afraid Megan might get scared and leave.

Megan took a deep breath and looked at Wayne and Melody. "Don't worry, I understand. After all, Nolan had just spent three years in prison so it's natural for him to have some trouble controlling his emotions. I'm not going to be afraid. As for Tyler, will there be any issues with him?"

Wayne and Melody's expressions turned grim at the mention of Tyler. Knowing him well, they feared this matter wouldn't end peacefully. In fact, they wouldn't be surprised if he were to call the police.

"How about this? When Tyler wakes up, tell him that I'll agree to whatever compensation he wants. Everything can be worked out as long as he doesn't call the police. I'm sure he'll be reasonable about the whole thing."

Wayne and Melody were deeply moved by Megan's words. Melody, in particular, was crying happy tears and holding Megan's hand tightly.

"Nolan must be blind to have let go of such a good woman like you, Megan!" exclaimed Wayne angrily. "Did you know he even threatened me, saying I need to see the truth? If you truly treated him badly, would you go through all this trouble for him—a regular man who had just come out of prison?"

"Most women would have run off by now. But not only did you stay loyal to Nolan, you've even been treating him better. That ungrateful bastard will definitely regret it!"
