Nolan's reassuring words calmed his family down.
Ben looked at Tyler and said, "Looks like you've really suffered, Tyler. What do you think, Mr. Hoover?"
Hoover chuckled. "If Tyler's been treated so poorly by Nolan and his family, it's clear he's the victim here. We Greenes have always been kind-hearted people. When someone is suffering, we do everything we can to help them. So, I say we keep Tyler in the family."
Hearing this, Tyler immediately bowed frantically. "Thank you, Mr. Hoover! Thank you, Mr. Stutton! I'll make sure to show my loyalty and completely distance myself from Nolan and his evil family! We're enemies now, for sure!"
Ben nodded in approval. He then turned to Sharon. "And what about you? Do you have any grievances?"
The question left Sharon momentarily stunned. After all, what grievances could she have? The truth was, she had absolutely no reason to feel wronged at all.
Since marrying Niall, Sharon had lived a life of ease, with everything handed to her on a silver platter. She constantly relied on her family for money, and Niall treated her like a goddess. If anything, it was actually Niall who endured daily mistreatment from her.
But now, she had no choice but to come up with a lie.
Without hesitation, she immediately burst into tears and wailed, "Mr. Greene Senior, Mr. Stutton, all of you uncles, aunts, please hear my pain! My life is so miserable! Niall seems so kind and honest, but in reality, he's a cruel man!
"Whenever things don't go his way, he beats and curses me! Even now, while I'm pregnant, he hasn't spared me! And my in-laws—they may seem reasonable, but they've always coddled their son. Sometimes, they even join in with Niall, shouting at me, hitting me, leaving me bruised all over!
