The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 501

Just moments ago, Nolan and Malcolm had been discussing the possibility of a betrayal within Myth Group. Now, there was no doubt about it.

For someone to infiltrate Malcolm's villa without raising an alarm, an inside job was inevitable. But this time, the danger threatening Myth Group seemed to extend beyond internal treachery—it hinted at the involvement of a formidable external force.

"Who are you people? Do you have any idea who I am? Let me go, and I'll let you walk away. Otherwise, you'll regret it!" Malcolm said coldly.

He was frowning deeply, yet there wasn't the slightest trace of tension in his demeanor.

One of the black-clad figures sneered. "As expected of the elusive president of Myth Group. Even with a blade at your throat, you still play the part of the defiant leader. But tell me—will your neck prove tougher than your words?"

As he spoke, he slid the sharp dagger across Malcolm's neck in a swift deliberate motion. Instantly, a crimson line appeared, and blood began to flow down his neck.

"Mr. Gould, does it hurt? Still feeling tough?"

Malcolm took a deep breath and spoke through gritted teeth, "Tell me, who sent you? And what do you want?"

One of the black-clad figures immediately pulled out a contract and, with a smug grin, said, "It's nothing too complicated. We're just here to pay you a visit and offer the simplest solution to a problem. All it takes is your signature on this transfer agreement.

"Once you sign, Myth Group will no longer be your concern. But don't worry—in return for the company, you get to keep your life. A fair trade, wouldn't you agree? After all, you've already built a fortune most people can only dream of.

"With wealth like yours, the rest of your life could be one of luxury and ease. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want. Doesn't that sound tempting? Just sign, and we'll leave immediately. That way, you won't have to endure any unnecessary suffering."
