The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 502

Nolan's voice was icy as he said, "I don't know who you are, but rest assured—I will find out. And when I do, I'll show you the true meaning of a fate worse than death. From this moment forward, stop torturing Malcolm.

"I'm giving you a chance to walk away with your lives. But if you dare defy me—if you so much as touch him again—I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth. And when I find you, I'll cut you apart piece by piece until there's nothing left."

It was clear the black-clad figures were unafraid of Nolan's threats. To them, he was nothing more than a figure on a screen after all. So what if he truly was the man behind Myth Group? They had the backing of a powerful force led by none other than Owen Norberg himself!

"Alright then, let's see how you plan to cut us apart. But now that you've threatened me, I'm not happy. And when I'm not happy, I make sure Mr. Gould isn't happy either."

With that, he grabbed Malcolm by the hair and slammed his head hard against the table. Immediately, blood began to gush out of Malcolm's nose and mouth.

But that wasn't the end of it. One of the black-clad figures pulled out a small pair of pliers. Grinning sinisterly, he said, "If you want to blame anyone, blame Nolan. He's the one who threatened me and ruined my mood. So now, you don't get to be happy either!"

With that, he clamped the pliers onto one of Malcolm's fingernails and yanked it out with brutal force. A blood-curdling scream tore through the air once more.

The nerves in the fingers were deeply connected to the core of one's being. The excruciating pain of having a fingernail ripped out—only those who had experienced it could understand.

The black-clad figure grabbed Malcolm by the hair. Letting out a low chuckle, he said. "Right now, I want you to curse Nolan. Call him an asshole, a bastard, an animal—whatever you like. As soon as you do, I'll stop torturing you. Otherwise, I'll rip out another one of your fingernails immediately."

Malcolm was already drenched in sweat from the unbearable pain, but when he heard them ordering him to insult Nolan, he spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva and roared, "You want me to insult Mr. Greene? Even if you kill me, it's not happening! You bastards will get what's coming to you!"
