The island in the middle of the lake was serene and full of vitality, the fresh air capable of calming the mind and lifting the spirits. Yet, at this moment, Nolan's face contorted in pure rage.
He watched helplessly as, in the video, Malcolm's fingernails were ripped out, and he was brutally tortured. How could he possibly remain calm?
The banquet at Misty Hill was still in full swing, But Nolan's fury had already reached a boiling point.
"Ah!" Nolan roared, smashing his fist into the laptop, shattering it into pieces. He stood abruptly, his head thrown back as he let out an earth-shaking howl, his voice thundering like a storm.
The guests attending the banquet all heard the furious roar. Many were so startled by the murderous intent in that voice that their faces turned pale with fear.
In that instant, the guards led by Sirius on Misty Hill, as well as Scarlet's subordinates, all went on high alert, swiftly converging toward the island on the lake.
Lincoln, his face ashen, turned to Archie with a look of terror. "T-That was Mr. Greene's roar, wasn't it? That roar is filled with overwhelming murderous intent. W-Who could have provoked him to such fury?"
Archie's face was equally pale. "Something major must have happened. Otherwise, there's no way Mr. Greene would be this enraged! You know as well as I do—everything that's happened these past few days hasn't once caused him to lose his composure.
"Even back in Rio Village, when faced with an entire village's betrayal, Mr. Greene remained calm. But now… Now he's this furious? My God, it feels like the sky is about to collapse!"
The various powerful figures present began speculating wildly about what could have happened.
Meanwhile, Fang immediately bolted toward the island on the lake without hesitation.
