The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 506

Owen would solidify his claim to the family head position with this achievement, leaving no one to challenge him! How could he not be elated? How could he not be excited?

Yet, at this moment, only Malcolm's eyes betrayed a hint of mockery. It was as if he was sneering at Owen, Tyson, and all the traitors.

"What? You don't believe me?" asked Owen with a derisive chuckle.

Malcolm sneered and said, "Of course, I believe you. Why wouldn't I? But if you think it's that easy to replicate the Spirit of Life Serum, who am I to tell you otherwise? In any case, you're gonna die a horrible, horrible death. Hahaha!"

Owen sighed and patted Malcolm on the shoulder. Still smiling, he said, "You're really loyal, I'll give you that. You're making me almost reluctant to kill you. But still, you have to die. If you don't want to sign, so be it.

"Let it serve as a warning to everyone—this is what happens to those who dare betray me. With your life as an example, I doubt anyone else will dare to try." Owen waved his hand. "Hound, take him away and get rid of him."

Hound nodded and immediately dragged Malcolm out by the hair.

It didn't take him long to come back with his hand stained with fresh blood. He walked over to Owen and, with a smirk, he said, "Boss, it's done. I've thrown the body into the lake for the fish to feast on."

Owen smiled and nodded. He then turned to the trembling Tyson. Smiling, he said, "Now that he's dead, you have nothing to fear, Mr. Lamb. From now on, you'll temporarily serve as acting president of Myth Group. You won't betray me or make any mistakes, right?"

Trembling, Tyson looked at Owen and replied, "Rest assured that I'd rather die than betray you, Mr. Norberg. Nor will there be any mistakes—absolutely none!"
