The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 583

Geoffrey stepped into the center but didn't move forward any further. Instead, he called out loudly, "I, Geoffrey Norberg, would like to invite Mr. Nolan Greene for a face-to-face discussion!"

Upon hearing this, Scarlet glanced at Nolan and smiled. "Mr. Greene, how about I grab this guy too and hang him up? If the head of the Norberg family gets strung up, they'd completely lose face."

Nolan chuckled coldly and said, "No, that won't be necessary. I'd rather see what they have to say after things have come to this."

With that, he strode forward without hesitation.

Stopping three yards away from Geoffrey, Nolan said indifferently, "So, you've come to beg for mercy now? Well, it's not entirely impossible. If all of you kneel as I instructed and await my judgment, I might just spare your lives."

Geoffrey's expression darkened immediately. He let out a cold laugh as he stared at Nolan. "Mr. Greene, you seem so certain of your victory. But we Norbergs haven't lost yet!"

Nolan nodded. "So, Owen wasn't enough to make you yield. Even beating the Tiger-ranked Hound didn't scare you. Hmm, you're waiting for another Tiger Ranking fighter from your family, aren't you? That's fine. I can wait. After all, I plan to take my time breaking you—so you can fully understand that in my eyes, you're nothing!"

Geoffrey stared at the arrogant Nolan, and for a moment, he felt an overwhelming urge to slap him across the face. But unfortunately, he didn't have the guts to do it.

"I warn you, Nolan. Just because you have some strength doesn't mean you can disregard everyone else. The foundation of my family runs far deeper than you can imagine. And in this world, there is always someone stronger. You can be arrogant now, but in a moment, I fear you won't even have time to beg for mercy.

"Nolan, I came here for one thing—end this now. Kneel, apologize, and swear loyalty to us Norbergs, and we will let the past go. Release Owen and Hound, and from this day forward, serve my family. This is your only chance."

Nolan stared at Geoffrey, utterly baffled by his thinking.
