The Ruthless Lycan King Fell For His Slave Mate novel Chapter 67

“I'll kill them,” Crystal slurred as her hand tightened around the wine glass in her grip. “I'll kill them all!”

She threw the glass across the room, shattering it against the wall. Her room was a mess following her outburst–beddings overturned, lamps broken, shards of glass all over the floor.

Her father had been executed a few hours earlier. Not one person–not her relatives or the elders in the council–had tried to plead with the king to reconsider. They had all bowed their heads like a bunch of cowards and followed Julian’s every word.

Now, her father was dead, her family was shamed, and their reputation was in tatters. A few weeks ago, she had thought that she would be the Luna Queen. It was a position that would have elevated her pack above everyone but the royal pack. Their pack had been envied by others for producing the future queen, something they had all sought for years. She could not believe how quickly everything had changed.

Now, they were the laughing stock of the kingdom. She had been spurned by the king in favour of an Omega, and her father had been accused of treason and executed.

Why? What had they done to anger the Lycan King so much that he would go so far to ruin their family?

He had been lying to her all along. He had made her think she would be his queen, but it had all been a part of his ploy! Lyra must have been in on it. They must have been fucking all that time she was at the palace and laughing behind her back. How foolish she had been!

Was Julian doing all of this to protect his Omega mate? From the moment he threw Crystal out of the palace, the tide had been going against him. Packs were against his choice of a mate, and they sided with the Blacksword Pack. He must have felt threatened by Blacksword’s power, so he made up accusations to get rid of Crystal's father.

Now with Alpha Black gone and the Blacksword Pack trending on thin ice, there would be no one brave enough to call him out on his misdeeds. The Lycan King would do whatever he wanted unopposed, whether it was for the good of the kingdom or not.

“I won't let you get what you want,” Crystal swore. “You have taken my father away from me. You have taken everything away. I'll take that whore from you and see how you like it!”

As she racked her brain for what to do next, she remembered the day the witch had spoken to her and agreed to help her deal with Lyra. It was too bad that Lyra had not died that day. This time, she would make no mistakes.

“Can you hear me?” she asked, getting up from the floor and pacing around. “I need your help again. Are you there?”

She waited a while, but there was nothing but silence.

“Help me,” she pleaded. “You said that we wanted the same thing. She keeps taking everything that belongs to me. I want her dead! I'll do anything.”

“Are you looking for me?” the same voice from before floated into her mind.

“Yes!” Crystal exclaimed, looking around frantically. She stepped on a shard of glass but could hardly feel the pain. “Help me! Everybody has turned against my family. You are the only one who can help me!”
