The Ruthless Lycan King Fell For His Slave Mate novel Chapter 76

Lyra was standing in a moonlit field when she noticed Julian standing several metres away from her. While she watched, he turned and started walking in the other direction, getting farther from her.

“Julian!” she called to him as she started walking towards him. He did not appear to hear her, so she tried again, louder this time. “Julian!”

No matter how loud she called him, he did not turn to look at her. And, no matter how fast she walked towards him, she could not seem to get closer to him. Rather, it appeared that he got farther and farther away.

Suddenly, someone stepped out of the shadows and stood in front of Julian, blocking his way. The stranger rushed towards Julian, attacking him. As Lyra watched, the two of them started fighting, trading blows and kicks.

Lyra started running. This time, she got closer and closer, and she could see the two of them fighting hard. Just as she was getting close enough to interfere, something in the stranger's hand gleamed in the moonlight. Lyra only had a moment to recognize it as a silver dagger before the stranger sunk it into Julian's chest.

“NO!” Lyra screamed, throwing her body towards Julian. But it was too late. The dagger was already embedded in his body, and his shirt was soaking with the colour of his blood.

No…

“No!” Lyra woke up with a gasp, the word bursting from her lips. She looked around, searching her surroundings. She was in bed. She was in her room. It had just been a dream.

She placed a hand to her chest, feeling the erratic beating of her heart. She was out of breath, and her forehead was soaked with sweat.

“It's just a dream,” she muttered to herself. “Just a dream.”

And yet, even if she was certain of that fact, knowing so did not help her calm down. The dream had felt so real, as if she was there, and Julian had truly been stabbed.

“What's wrong?” Rae asked her.
