Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 28

After Angelina spoke, Gina grabbed onto Aiden's arm once again and spoke sweetly. "Don't go yet. Earlier on, didn't you say that you have plans to open a medical center? I can introduce a few of my friends to you!"

"Can't you speak properly?" Aiden frowned, confused by Gina's actions. He didn't even notice that she knew about his thoughts of opening a medical center.

"Sure, as you wish!" With that, she returned to her normal self and spoke in her usual tone.

Aiden was troubled by Gina's behavior since the others might misunderstand their relationship. Although they were acquaintances, Gina acted as though they were a couple. This enraged Angelina, so she scoffed and walked away.

Although Linda was furious with Aiden, she didn't dare interrupt them. After all, she knew that she couldn't afford to offend Gina after seeing how she told Jordan off. At the same time, she was confused.

"This good-for-nothing seems to be doing well recently. First, he associated himself with the Webb Family, then the Thatcher Family, and now the Harper Family. There's no way I'll let him divorce Angelina!"

After making up her mind, she went up to Aiden with the risk of offending Gina and said, "Aiden, aren't you going after Angelina? She's angry right now!"

Hearing that, he looked toward Angelina's direction and nodded after giving it some thought. "Alright!"

He then looked at Gina and said, "Knock it off. I'll be taking my leave!"

"Tsk, I don't understand. It's obvious that she doesn't care about you, but you're being nice to her despite being given the cold shoulder!" Gina rolled her eyes at him.

"She's still my wife, though," he responded impassively and walked up to Angelina.

"Nothing is going on between me and her!" he whispered while standing next to her.

Although most of the anger that Angelina harbored had dissipated when he went up to her and explained the situation, she replied sarcastically, "Why are you here? You should stay with her."

"I just told you that there's nothing between the both of us," Aiden replied helplessly.

"Nothing between the both of you, eh? She even knows about your big plans of opening a medical center, which I have no idea of. Yet, you're denying your relationship with her?" Angelina spoke angrily as she pouted.

Meanwhile, Aiden was stunned when he noticed it was Angelina's first time acting coquettishly in front of him. When she realized that he was staring at her quietly, she blushed in embarrassment. "Hey, I'm talking to you."

"I have no idea how she found out about it!" He smiled bitterly. He finally recalled Gina's remarks about his plan to open a medical center upon Angelina's reminder, not knowing how Gina knew about it.

"I don't believe you!" Angelina replied furiously.

"You wouldn't believe me even if I told you! You'd just think that I'm faking it, so I'd rather not tell you!" Aiden said with a smile.

"Well, don't you intend on changing my mind about it?" Angelina questioned him.

"Change your mind? Are you saying that you've changed your mind about me? Have you suddenly realized how good I am?" He smirked.

"Hmph!" She was lost for words.

"I know Miss Harper well. Although she seems like a bold person, she has a child-like personality!" Arnold glanced at her affectionately, and he seemed like a father looking at his daughter. "You must have reached the status of a master!" Arnold then added.

Aiden was startled to hear that and looked at Arnold cautiously.

"Thank you!" Aiden nodded.

The banquet ended after two hours. Just as Aiden, Angelina, and her parents were leaving the venue, Gina was waiting for him at the entrance. "Do you want to go and grab a drink?" she asked with a smile upon spotting him.

He shook his head after hearing that. He was about to speak when she added, "You'll be sleeping on the floor, anyway!"

"It's none of your business where he sleeps!" Angelina's expression was solemn as she replied. However, Gina wasn't enraged by her reply and only looked at Aiden while smiling at him.

"Goodbye!" Aiden uttered.

"You coward!" Gina scoffed, but there was a smirk on her face.

On their journey home, Linda's attitude toward Aiden changed. Earlier on at the banquet, she was regarded as a VIP after Jordan left, and it was all thanks to Aiden.

"The weather is getting colder these days. Is it cold to sleep over there?" Angelina asked Aiden all of a sudden.
