Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 103

Despite being restrained by Bryson and his gang, Emma didn't cower like most people her age would. Instead, she raised her head defiantly.

However, Bryson didn't notice that.

"Why are you just standing there? Take him down!" He waved his hand.

"200 grand!" Joshua suddenly spoke up.

"Deal." Daniel nodded with a smile.

Joshua let out a breath, and the tension in his body eased. Yet, in that moment of ease, he was even more dangerous.

"Still acting tough, brat?" one of Bryson's lackeys sneered.

"Look at that dump you call home. There's nothing worth a damn in there. But your sister takes good care of it. Heh, I've got a thing for the young ones."

Joshua's head snapped up. His eyes locked onto the foul-mouthed thug with an icy glare.

"Oh? What's with that look? Kill him!"

The thug stiffened under Joshua's glare, and a chill ran down his spine. He quickly raised his hand and grabbed Joshua's shirt.

When his fingers clenched the fabric, Joshua swung his arm in a wide arc and struck with full force.

The thug howled in pain as bloody gashes split across his palm.

Joshua suddenly leaped into the air and snapped a kick into the thug's chest, knocking him off his feet. The move was so swift and precise that it left everyone around stunned.

Last time, they'd beaten Joshua to a pulp, but he hadn't dared fight back. This made them wonder when Joshua had become so strong.

"Dammit, that hurt! Take him down. I'll take responsibility if anything happens." The thug who'd been kicked glared at Joshua venomously.

Joshua was tough, but he was just one man. Instead, Bryson's gang had five people.
