Emma's face lit up with a radiant smile when Joshua returned.
But Joshua hesitated. "Mr. Ashcroft, are you sure this will work?"
Daniel understood his concerns and simply smiled.
"Emma's condition is congenital. If I had discovered it earlier, treatment wouldn't have been so complicated.
"But credit where it's due, Colin's treatment wasn't bad. He managed to keep her in good health.
"I'll be using life energy to help restore her body. As for the other medicine used, they're just supplementary."
"Life energy?"
Joshua froze at the word.
As a martial artist himself, he knew exactly what that meant!
"Thank you, Mr. Ashcroft!"
Without a second thought, Joshua moved to kneel, but Daniel swiftly extended a leg to stop him.
"That's enough. Just observe from the sideline. How much you comprehend will depend on your abilities!"
Having said that, Daniel turned toward Emma.
"This pill will help replenish your energy. Once you take it, just close your eyes and relax. Do you understand?"
Daniel had put in a lot of effort to treat Emma.
She nodded, immediately taking the pill and swallowing it.
"Mm? It's a little sweet?" She looked at Daniel in surprise.
He chuckled. "Now close your eyes. There's nothing to worry about."
"Okay, Daniel!"
Emma lay down straight and shut her eyes.
Daniel raised his palm, channeling his inner energy. He pressed his hand gently against Emma's stomach.
"How do you feel?"
"It's warm and very comfortable!" Emma's voice was soft, filled with wonder. "I haven't felt this good in so long!"
Daniel nodded, increasing the flow of energy.
A powerful surge of energy enveloped both of them.
The sheer force alone pushed Joshua back.
If he had been skeptical before, there was no doubt left in his mind now.
Daniel was an energy cultivator!
He was a living legend!
