The battle erupted instantly in Ashcroft Village.
Daniel's expression was grim. The Aurora Foundation was indeed formidable. These men were all martial artists.
A thunderous boom echoed through the sky. The sweltering heat finally broke as rain began to fall, but the fight in Ashcroft Village only grew fiercer.
Fierce might not have been the right word, as none of the Aurora Foundation's men were truly a match for Daniel. However, the intensity of the battle never waned.
They seemed to know they were marching toward their deaths, yet they charged at Daniel without hesitation.
With each step Daniel took, another life was claimed.
The middle-aged man's guard collapsed, leaving him alone in the pouring rain, staring at Daniel as he drew closer.
"Well, well, well! Things are getting more and more interesting!"
Instead of fear, the man trembled with excitement at Daniel's approach.
"Lunatic," Daniel muttered, his brows furrowing.
"Who in this world isn't a lunatic? Daniel, today is just the beginning. Heretic, you will be eradicated!"
The man raised his hand as he finished speaking, and the dagger in his grasp shot forward, piercing his own throat.
Daniel watched with an indifferent gaze as the man collapsed and then turned to Samuel.
Samuel still wore that same smile. "Kill me. Maybe then I can finally atone," he said.
He blinked at Daniel after he finished speaking.
Daniel paused for a brief moment, and then he suddenly kicked the corpse of the middle-aged man. The dagger lodged in the man's throat shot out like an arrow and struck a nearby tree. A shadowy figure behind it collapsed.
His brows knitted together. "What exactly are you trying to do?" he asked.
