When Daniel pushed open the door, he was taken aback. Sitting inside the room was a woman with a cold demeanor wearing casual clothes.
"What's wrong? Do you not remember me, Mr. Ashcroft?" Regina's lips slowly curled into a smile. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Regina Sinclair."
Frankly, he hadn't expected the ethereal-looking Peach Blossom Fairy to transform into a sophisticated urban beauty. That said, it didn't affect the purpose of his visit today.
"You did catch me off guard. You seem very different." Daniel sat beside Regina with a chuckle. "I'm here to find out whether the Immortal Syndicate has the guts to offend the Cranes."
"We're all businessmen; it's all about the business. As long as you can provide us with enough benefits, nothing is ever set in stone."
She was straightforward, though it sounded surreal with those words coming out of her mouth.
At that, he shrugged before placing the Blood Surge Pill on the table. "This is the Blood Surge Pill. After taking it, one forcibly levels up, fighting without fatigue or pain. But the side effects are severe."
As soon as Daniel spoke, Regina's heart jolted. This thing was practically a life-saving trump card!
"You never disappoint me, Mr. Ashcroft. But this isn't enough." She shook her head.
It wasn't because of greed but because a pill alone would be insufficient to garner the Immortal Syndicate's full support.
Daniel knew how limited the effects of the Blood Surge Pill were, but he smiled and asked, "What about the Breakthrough Pill?"
"What?" Regina gasped and exclaimed, "You know how to refine that?"
"Of course!" He nodded and continued, "As long as the Immortal Syndicate remains neutral, I can sell the pills I refine to all of you here."
Her heart pounded. "I'm sorry. I can't sign off on such a big matter like this."
"Go ahead, then." Daniel gestured for her to speak with her higher-ups.
Without wasting any time, Regina headed out to discuss. Before long, she returned to the room and announced, "Congratulations, Mr. Ashcroft. It's a deal!"
"Looking forward to our collaboration!" He smiled as he shook her hand.
