Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 172

Bryson, overwhelmed by pain, howled in agony as Jennifer's grip tightened. What had once been a show of dominance now crumbled into helplessness, and he found himself unable to endure the searing pain from her bite.

"Let go! Let go of me now! Shit, that hurts! Help!" He kept stomping his foot and didn't get released until she bit off a piece of his flesh.

The pain was too much for Bryson to bear. His face turned pale, and he collapsed to the ground, unconscious from the overwhelming agony.

With his blood still gliding through her mouth, Jennifer fixed her stare on Daniel. "Is that what you really think? Do you really want me dead so badly?"

Daniel stood there, silent, his gaze fixed on Jennifer. Charlene quickly stepped forward, gently grabbing her arm to pull her away.

Then, Jennifer turned to Charlene and forced a bitter smile. "As I said, I won't give up! Don't you want me dead? Sorry to tell you that it won't happen! I won't ever let you get what you want!

"Instead, I'll keep my eye on you until you admit I'm your wife!" she roared at him like a madwoman before bolting out of the house.

Daniel shook his head, remarking, "She's mad!"

"Daniel—" Charlene uttered reluctantly.

He put up his hand. "Enough. We should head back. There are still plenty of things for us to do."

He then glanced at Bryson and stomped down hard on his thigh, jolting him awake with a sharp gasp of pain.

"W-What are you doing?" Terror flashed across Bryson's eyes.

Suddenly, Joshua appeared at the villa entrance.

Daniel gave a simple gesture with his hand. "Take him out."

Joshua immediately complied, seizing Bryson by the ankle and dragging him across the floor. Bryson fought to break free, but Joshua's grip was unyielding like a vise.
