Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 174

"Daniel, are you free to talk?" Charlene asked over the phone.

"What's up?" Daniel asked, feeling curious.

"A couple of days ago, we launched our online campaign, right? I managed to get in touch with a big celebrity, and she's arriving at the airport soon. Can you pick her up?" Charlene asked.

It wasn't that there was no one else available at the company, but Daniel had taken the best car. Left with no other choice, Charlene called him.

"Sure! I'm not far from the airport anyway. I'll go pick her up," Daniel agreed immediately since he had nothing to do right now.

Qranross Airport was bustling and packed with people.

By the time Daniel arrived, the celebrity's flight had landed. Charlene sent him a photo of the celebrity, and he recognized her immediately. Without hesitation, he strode forward.

"Ms. Larson? I'm from Geller Cosmetics, and I'm here to pick you up!" Daniel greeted her with a smile and extended his hand.

However, the woman stood with her hands on her hips, completely ignoring his outstretched hand. Instead, she arrogantly turned to her manager and demanded, "Where's my touch-up kit?"

Daniel raised an eyebrow, then withdrew his hand and waited patiently.

Whitney Larson took out her makeup kit, dabbed some powder on her face, and then checked her reflection in the mirror. Only then did she nod in satisfaction and complain, "Ugh, the heat messed up my makeup! You people really have no sense of professionalism!"

She huffed, then turned to her assistant. "What are you standing there for? Get my luggage!"

Daniel glanced at the towering suitcase. It was almost as tall as a person. The assistant, on the other hand, was a petite, frail-looking young woman wearing a mask, leaving only her eyes visible. Without thinking, Daniel stepped forward to help.

"Don't touch it! Did I say you could?" Whitney snapped. "Small companies really have no sense of time or etiquette! This is ridiculous!"
