Daniel hadn't expected the people from Wellcroft Entertainment to come knocking so soon.
"Ms. Geller, I sincerely apologize for all the unexpected issues in this matter!" Jeremiah strode toward Charlene and apologized.
However, the moment he laid eyes on Charlene, his expression shifted.
As a seasoned talent scout turned agent, Jeremiah was rarely caught off guard, but Charlene's presence genuinely surprised him.
With his trained eye, he could tell that Charlene had the natural charm and presence of a top-tier celebrity.
Charlene, however, remained unfazed. "Since you're here, I assume you've brought the contract?"
She had full trust in Daniel, and when it came to terminating a contract, the sooner, the better—before anything unexpected could happen.
"Of course!" Jeremiah placed the termination contract on the table.
Charlene flipped through it and raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Only 300 thousand? Mikayla, this doesn't seem right."
She turned to Mikayla.
Mikayla's hand trembled slightly as she picked up the termination papers.
These very documents had once trapped her, making her believe she would never escape. And yet, here they were right in front of her now.
She turned to stare Jeremiah right in the eye. "Mr. Kirk, I remember you telling me the penalty fee was 300 million!"
"Mikayla, decisions like these are made by the company's executives. It's not up to me," Jeremiah explained with an awkward smile.
In reality, if it weren't for the big boss's fear of causing any misunderstanding with Charlene, they would've waived the penalty entirely.
"Well, whether this is real or not, it'll be official after you sign it!" Daniel grinned, handing Mikayla a pen.
