"Phew!" Alden let out a long breath to calm himself.

Then, he took out his phone. "Daniel, Omari just called me!"

Before he could say anything else, the door swung open.

"Damon?" Alden was stunned to see the man stepping inside.

"Alden, you've let Mr. Dooly down," Damon Craig said as he shook his head.

Alden's eyes widened in disbelief. "Y-You work for Mr. Dooly?"

Of all the people in Obsidian Group, Damon was the one he trusted the most. He'd always believed Damon was clean and a loyal follower who'd been by his side for years.

But now, the truth hit him that Damon was one of Omari's men!

"You're a fool, Alden," Damon said as he emotionlessly stepped forward. "We've been like brothers; don't make this harder than it has to be."

Alden's face was full of shock. After a brief pause, he slowly placed his phone on the table.

Damon picked it up and exclaimed, "Daniel?"

"Speak!" Daniel roared. He hadn't expected Alden to be taken down so quickly. It seemed he'd underestimated Omari.

But to Daniel, Obsidian Group wasn't that important as losing it wouldn't affect him much.

"Mr. Dooly wants me to tell you this—deliver what he wants in three days, and he'll pretend none of this has ever happened." Damon had a robotic tone as he relayed Omari's words.

"What if I don't?" Daniel asked.

"Mr. Dooly will give you the answer himself." With that, Damon hung up. He'd said everything that needed to be said, so there was no need to say anything further.

After ending the call, Damon turned to Alden. "Let's go, Alden."

"Alright!" Alden knew exactly what fate awaited him. But even so, he forced himself to get up and followed Damon out…
