Chaos erupted in Qranross. As soon as Daniel returned to the city, he immediately sensed a change in the atmosphere.
The streets were filled with an unusual number of people in a hurry, and they were all martial artists.
Daniel chuckled coldly. Now that he had the genetic longevity formula, all that was left was to wait for Omari to take the bait.
…
At Geller Cosmetics, Charlene was busy reviewing documents and was surprised to see Daniel push the door open. "You're done?"
"All taken care of. I'll be at the factory for the next few days to keep an eye on things and prepare ingredients for the youth cream." Daniel stepped forward to greet her.
The new factory was undoubtedly a much better fit. Though the facilities were old, they had plenty of space and were well-suited for refining the necessary materials.
If he'd tried to do it at the villa, it would've been too constrained.
"Alright." Charlene nodded and thought not much of it. The company's sales had recently skyrocketed and brought increased workloads and stress. Daniel volunteering to handle things at the factory was a huge relief for her.
"Be careful. Don't go back to the villa for now. Stay at Mr. Geller Senior's place instead," Daniel warned.
The people lurking in the shadows were desperate to seize the genetic longevity formula and would stop at nothing. That meant Charlene could be in danger.
She didn't know exactly what Daniel was planning, but she understood the risks he faced. Then, she lowered her voice and replied, "You should be careful too. Don't worry; I'm a grown woman, and I can take care of myself."
Daniel stared at her and moved closer.
Charlene's face flushed red, but this time, she didn't resist as much. Instead, she followed his lead.
He was in high spirits to see her cooperate.
