Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 226

No wonder Jennifer had been so arrogant lately.

She must have found herself a powerful backer!

Daniel let out a short laugh, his expression filled with mockery.

"Don't worry, I'll be sure to pass along your message. But if you think your little plan will succeed…

"Keep dreaming."

He turned and walked straight into the Food and Drug Administration office, fully disregarding them.

"How arrogant!"

Jennifer gritted her teeth, fury twisting her expression.

Her mind had become so warped that she could think of nothing else.

She wanted to see Daniel kneeling before her again.

Kneeling in silence as she humiliated him, not daring to talk back.

She wanted to watch him submit just like before!

Daniel approached the front desk.

"I'd like to meet with Mr. Gallagher!"

The receptionist glanced up at him briefly before returning to her work.

"Mr. Gallagher is in a meeting. He won't be available anytime soon.

"You can wait over there if you'd like."

Daniel turned and looked at the seating area.

Every chair was full.

At this rate, there was no way he'd be able to meet Mr. Gallagher today! There's no time to spare!

No wonder Jennifer had been so smug. She must have confirmed this in advance.

"Miracle Doctor! Is that you, Miracle Doctor?"

A voice rang out, filled with excitement.

Daniel turned his head and saw Alfie from the Central Hospital rushing over.

Alfie couldn't forget how Daniel had healed Oscar with a single slap!

He regretted not interacting with Daniel more each time he thought about it.

Now that he had spotted Daniel, he wasn't about to let him slip away.

Between shouts, Alfie arrived in front of Daniel.

"Hello, Mr. Chambers!"

Daniel recognized him.

Grinning, Alfie grabbed Daniel's hand tightly, as if afraid he would vanish.

"Finally! I've been hoping to see you again, Mr. Ashcroft!

"You must give me your full attention this time, no matter what!"

Daniel understood Alfie's enthusiasm.

But his methods weren't something ordinary people could just learn!
