Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 255

When Omari saw Daniel, his expression was clearly one of shock.

"You!" He struggled to sit up.

Daniel glanced around Omari's room. "Gotta hand it to you, Mr Dooly. Even in your state, your men are still loyal to you. You've got my respect for that."

Omari's expression darkened. "What do you want?"

"Seems like your memory isn't too great." Daniel shook his head. "I happen to know some supplements that work wonders. I'll have someone send them over. Don't worry, I need you alive to keep this game going."

A jolt of fear went through Omari when he saw the venom in Daniel's eyes. He had never imagined things would take such a turn, nor had he expected to become a mere plaything in Daniel's hand. It all felt too surreal.

"You were the one pulling strings behind what Jennifer did, right?" Daniel sat across from Omari, smiling as he watched the fear and panic appear on his face. This was far more entertaining than simply killing him.

"That has nothing to do with me!" Omari denied it immediately.

"Ah, I see," Daniel said with a nod. Then, with a flick of his finger, a fruit knife from the fruit platter flew into his hand.

Without hesitation and without giving Omari time to react, Daniel plunged the knife into Omari's palm, pinning it to the table.

"Ah!" Omari let out an agonized scream. "What exactly do you want?" he said through gritted teeth.

Daniel scoffed and said, "Didn't I already tell you? Since you're so forgetful, let me help jolt your memory."

"You're insane! A complete lunatic!" Omari cursed. "If you have the guts, just kill me!"

"You're right, I am insane. I've been insane ever since you made a move and destroyed my home and family!" Daniel laughed coldly.
