When Conor heard what Daniel said, his expression changed dramatically.
"Mr. Keaton has broken through? Then that means—" Conor looked at Daniel with shock and disbelief.
Daniel nodded. "That's right. He's reached the Energy Refining Phase."
For ordinary people, the Energy Refining Phase was an unfathomable level—so rare and powerful that anyone who achieved it was practically worthy of worship. In other words, these cultivators were no different from the legendary immortals of myth.
Daniel had heard that kind of talk before, but having witnessed the true cultivation world firsthand, his perspective was far beyond what most people could even begin to comprehend. In fact, the Energy Refining Phase was the weakest level in the cultivation world.
But for Conor and Laila, the Energy Refining Phase was like reaching the heavens.
Without hesitation, Conor said, "Mr. Ashcroft, I'll have my men escort you out of Qranross immediately. Don't come back unless you've gained the power to take on an Energy Refining expert."
Laila chimed in anxiously, "I'll arrange for backup immediately. Rest assured, Mr. Ashcroft, they're all trustworthy people."
"Take Jennifer and Charlene with you as well. I'll have someone take over the company. That way, even if something happens, we will be able to handle it," Conor added.
It was clear he had planned for this moment long in advance, because as soon as Daniel voiced out his speculation, Conor had already laid out a full plan.
Daniel looked up at Conor and Laila, who had always worked tirelessly for him. Feeling touched, he said with a smile, "Mr. Fuentes, Ms. Ballard, I've already said it—I'm staying put in Qranross."
Conor's expression changed drastically. "Mr. Ashcroft, you can't do this! You're the hope of your family!"
