Looking at Morris' flustered expression, Daniel couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head. With a flick of his finger, the water droplet struck again, making its way through the former's skull.
Morris collapsed straight to the ground, a splash of rainwater rising around him.
Daniel wasted no time and turned toward William's direction. "What's the point of hiding when you're already here?"
At that moment, Daniel stood amidst the torrential downpour, the umbrella in his hand now folded and held in front of him.
Strangely, not a single drop of rain touched his body. It was as if an invisible barrier surrounded him, effortlessly deflecting the rain and keeping him dry despite the storm raging around him.
By then, William no longer concealed himself. He emerged from the shadows and wore a smile. "Alright, alright! I guess I wasn't that far off. You're also in your Energy Refining Phase!"
He strode toward Daniel, his gaze increasingly cold.
"Wait, why is the other one still hiding?" Daniel smiled.
Faced with his question, William laughed heartily and turned around to say, "Hey, Forrest! This dude isn't that dumb, after all!"
"Interesting. It's been a while since I encountered such an interesting young man!" A gaunt figure appeared in Daniel's line of sight, accompanied by a chilling laugh.
The figure carried nether spiritual energy. As soon as the raindrops neared him, they turned into ice crystals, falling to the ground and making a crisp sound as they hit the stones.
Daniel narrowed his eyes. "You old rot. You should've stayed in your coffin instead of being out here!"
Forrest Crane let out an even more eerie, unsettling laugh. "An arrogant one! I see—how interesting!"
Mid-sentence, shards of ice suspended in the air before launching toward Daniel.
William's eyes narrowed sharply as he swung his palm, sending a forceful strike toward Daniel's chest.
