"Since you're looking for a collaboration, how do you plan to go about it?" Daniel, chuckling, sat across from Zidane.
At that moment, Zidane was drenched in cold sweat. Although Daniel's expression betrayed no immediate threat, his sharp gaze pierced him, instilling a deep unease as if he could read him like an open book.
"I can leverage foreign resources to help promote the genetic serum and expand its influence," Zidane said, rubbing his hands together.
Daniel glanced at him. "That holds almost no appeal for me. The genetic serum is already in demand domestically, and haven't they already received samples abroad?"
Zidane's heart skipped a beat; it seemed that he couldn't hide anything from Daniel after all.
The latter smiled and continued, "Mr. Wilcox, if you're truly interested in a collaboration, perhaps you should show a bit of sincerity. I've heard that the Wilcox family has quite a few business ventures in Magden. That could be worth considering."
Zidane froze for a moment. His original plan was to trick Daniel into a partnership, but now it sounded like Daniel had his eyes on his family's businesses!
Under his seemingly amused yet inscrutable gaze, Zidane couldn't help but feel increasingly uneasy.
"Mr. Ashcroft, this is an important matter. I must discuss this with my family back home." He dared not take the liberty to make the decision. Thus, he could only drag things out.
However, Daniel casually waved. "Of course, you're welcome to do that. I can't just force a sale, can I? Go ahead!"
Joshua, too, extended his hand. "Please, go ahead."
Afraid to overstay his welcome, Zidane left in a hurry. Before he could, Daniel suddenly piped up. "Wait up!"
Zidane's body froze.
Daniel glanced at Jennifer and said in a low voice, "No matter what, Jennifer is still my wife. I don't want to deal with things like the debts, so please handle them yourself.
"Otherwise, I won't mind personally going to the Wilcox residence to settle the score."
"Okay, understood! I'll settle the debts once and for all. Don't worry about it, Mr. Ashcroft!" Zidane hastily replied.
