Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 274

Standing across from Daniel, Omari narrowed his eyes in surprise.

Perhaps only when facing Daniel could one truly grasp how formidable he was.

Omari suddenly spoke up, "Alright, everyone, I think you've watched enough."

"No wonder he's so cocky. Seems like he's actually got some skills," someone scoffed.

"It's been a while since I've seen a young fighter this strong. This should be interesting," another added.

As the crowd continued their discussion, two gaunt figures suddenly appeared before Daniel.

One was dressed in white, the other in black.

All else aside, if they appeared in the middle of the night, they could probably scare someone to death.

Of course, Daniel wasn't an ordinary person. Seeing their getup, he couldn't help but chuckle. "What's this? Are you supposed to be the guardians of hell?"

"Heh, that's a good one. We look the part, don't we?" They seemed pleased by the comparison.

Daniel nodded. "You definitely do."

"Then you should know what comes next!" the man in white said, then followed up with a shout.

Daniel immediately felt a buzz in his ear.

However, a flicker of light flashed in Daniel's eyes, and he snapped back to clarity instantly.

"An attack on the soul?"

The man in white didn't expect Daniel to recover so quickly and was quite surprised.

"No wonder you've been causing so much trouble in Qranross. It seems you've got some tricks up your sleeve. However, we'll be taking your life today!"

With a sharp motion, the man in black shook the banner in his hands, and from within, a blade connected to a chain shot out, whipping straight toward Daniel.

Daniel didn't dodge. Instead, he caught the blade mid-air with his bare hand.

The man in black wasn't flustered. He seemed to have expected Daniel to do this.

With a sinister laugh, he swung the banner, jerking the chain which caused the blade to spin violently. If Daniel had held on too tightly, the rotating blade would have shredded his hands.
