"Sir, you…" the doctor spoke once more.
But Yvette cut him off. "Don't disturb him. I'll take responsibility for whatever happens!" Right now, she had no choice but to put her trust in Daniel.
Daniel carefully examined Gordon before placing his hand on the latter's chest.
"Any acupuncture kits?" he asked.
"I have one!" Margaret immediately took out her acupuncture kit. It was pink and adorable with a little bow on it.
Daniel wasn't bothered. He skillfully pinched his fingers, and a silver needle landed in his palm. Then, he stabbed it into his palm.
Targeting the gap between his fingers, he inserted two-thirds of the needle into Gordon's chest.
The attending doctor had wanted to call him out with a warning, but his eyes widened at the sight. As an experienced doctor, he could immediately tell that the spot where Daniel had inserted the needle was supposed to be the bone. Yet, the latter had pierced the needle straight through the bone.
It was a highly skilled needling technique.
After inserting the first needle, Daniel didn't pause. His hand moved swiftly again, and soon, silver needles were consecutively embedded into Gordon's body.
But despite the numerous needles, Gordon's condition showed no signs of improvement.
"This doesn't seem to be working, Yvette," Xander whispered as he leaned closer to Yvette.
Yvette couldn't help but look at Daniel and hope for a reassuring answer, but the latter remained silent.
