At Charlene's villa, Daniel prepared a candlelight dinner meticulously.
He used to be the eldest scion of the Ashcroft family, untouched by mundane matters, and had all his requests fulfilled. But ever since his soul traversed to the cultivation world, he had maxed out all sorts of life skills and naturally became an excellent cook.
"I didn't think you were this talented!" A hint of amazement flashed in Charlene's eyes.
Daniel smiled and said, "Let's toast. This glass is to hope you can forgive my misunderstanding."
Charlene looked at his handsome face and sighed softly. She raised her glass and took a sip. The slightly sour taste was very much like her current emotions.
Candlelight dinners were undeniably romantic.
After three glasses of wine, Charlene's cheeks were slightly flushed.
Daniel leaned closer slowly.
"Don't! Now that Jennifer knows you've recovered, she'll overthink things!" Charlene pushed Daniel away, her breath brushing against his face.
Ignoring her protest, Daniel moved in forcefully.
"Mm! No, not here.."
In the end, Charlene gave in, and a night of passion followed.
…
As Daniel looked at Charlene lying beside him, he sighed. "This absolutely can't happen again."
Charlene seemed to have heard the murmured words as she turned over, displaying her beauty.
Daniel restrained himself and tucked the blanket over her before going downstairs.
