If one were to keep their emotions and stress under the lid for far too long, their mental state would undergo some changes. Once their inner volcano finally erupted, the destruction would be devastating, to say the least.

In Jennifer's case, she lunged at Selena right away and bit down on the latter's ear. Blood soon spurted out of the fresh wound.

Now that blood had been spilled, the rowdy relatives were stunned by the visceral sight. Instincts took over them instantly, prompting them to run away from Selena and Jennifer.

Once the relatives had all scattered, poor Bryson was revealed right before Daniel's eyes.

Daniel slowly approached him. "Did you choose to forget my warning?"

Bryson shuddered violently at his words. He couldn't help but recall the time when Daniel had easily dominated him previously in the company.

"N-No! I'm here to look for Jennifer! I didn't expect you to be here as well!"

"What's the difference?" Daniel chuckled coldly in return.

But before he could do anything to Bryson, Jacob led a bunch of people to the scene.

"Stop it!" Jacob roared at the top of his lungs.

Daniel turned to look at the older man at that moment. Usually, Jacob couldn't be bothered to conceal his look of disgust whenever he looked at Daniel. His expression would be terse and stoic, as though Daniel owed him a shit ton of money.

But things were different now.

A slim man could be seen tagging behind Jacob. He had slanted eyes and thick brows. The combination of said features molded him into a ferocious-looking man.

"Mr. Page, that's the guy I told you about! He's the one who wiped out Black Wolf Syndicate! That guy offended you without knowing how powerful you actually are! I might be his father-in-law, but I won't tolerate his actions!" Jacob wasted no time in selling Daniel out while pointing at him.

Daniel merely looked at the man known as Emmett Page, a cold smile already adorning his face.

Emmett was furious at first. Black Wolf Syndicate was a group of subordinates whom he had painstakingly gathered just so he could earn some income from running shady businesses.

But to think that the syndicate was suddenly eradicated by an unknown force! Of course, Emmett wouldn't take it lying down!

It was at that moment when Jacob had approached him, claiming that he knew who the culprit was. That was the reason why Emmett decided to tag along to see the culprit for himself.
