At that moment, Luciana felt disoriented, but she still followed Daniel back to the pharmacy.
Though he reassured her that everything was fine, she couldn't conceal the worry in her gaze as she watched her grandfather lying unconscious on the bed.
Floyd shot Luciana a quick glance before turning to Daniel. "Is Mr. Taylor going to be okay, sir?"
Daniel smiled and shook his head. "He's fine. Once I remove these needles, he'll wake up." With that, he gently removed the silver needles from Zephyr's acupoints.
Zephyr Taylor, whose eyes were still tightly shut, suddenly coughed. His eyes snapped open, and he momentarily regained consciousness.
Daniel narrowed his eyes upon seeing that. It seemed his hunch was right—Zephyr hadn't just collapsed for no reason.
Zephyr coughed up a mouthful of blood, and the energy around his body began to churn violently.
"Don't rush to calm it!" Daniel cautioned. Then, he placed his palm on Zephyr's back, and it shook violently.
Zephyr's eyes snapped wide open as he coughed up another mouthful of blood.
"Grandpa, what's wrong with you?!" Luciana was at a loss and overwhelmed with anxiety
Zephyr waved dismissively. "I'm fine. Young man, thank you."
Daniel waved it off. "I just happened to pass by. Call it fate."
Zephyr studied him carefully before slowly raising his hand. "Lucy, make some tea. Don't worry. I'm fine."
After reassuring her, he turned to Floyd. "Thank you for your help today."
"Glad you're okay, Mr. Taylor. Oh! I forgot to deliver the goods. I'll check on you again this evening." Floyd scratched his head and hurried out the door.
