Chapter 519-1
NORTH RIDGE PACK
THIRD POV
Conrad stood in his study, looking over the map spread across his desk when there was a
knock.
“Come in.”
The door opened, and one of his trusted wolves stepped inside before bowing respectfully.
“Alpha.”
Conrad looked up. “Took you long enough to show up,” Conrad said.
The wolf straightened. “I’m sorry, Alpha. The report from Silver Hollow was delayed. Our contact has sent another update.”
Conrad folded his arms. “Go on,” Conrad said.
“The explosion achieved exactly what we intended.”
Conrad remained silent, allowing him to continue.
“Alpha Jason has been carrying out investigations since last night. Every department connected to the supply depot has been questioned. Guards, warehouse workers, transport coordinators… no one has been spared.”
A faint smile appeared on Conrad’s face. “And?” Conrad asked.
“Our contact says the investigation won’t lead anywhere.”
Conrad’s expression didn’t change. “Why is he so sure?” Conrad asked.
“Because every trace was removed before the explosion. The scene was carefully manipulated. Different pieces of evidence point in different directions, making it almost impossible to establish what actually happened.”
Conrad nodded slowly. “Good,” Conrad said.
“He also confirmed that Jason has begun suspecting someone inside his own pack.”
“As expected,” Conrad replied.
“The atmosphere in Silver Hollow has become tense. Wolves are beginning to look at one

another with suspicion. That was the reason for the delay.”
Conrad smiled faintly. “Good,” Conrad said.

The messenger continued. “For now, our contact remains safe. No suspicion has fallen on
him.”
“It won’t,” Conrad said confidently. “They’ve been positioned too carefully.”
The wolf hesitated before asking, “Should we proceed with the next phase?”
Conrad was quiet for a moment before shaking his head. “No.”
The wolf looked surprised. “Not yet?”
“No,” Conrad repeated.
Conrad walked over to the map and rested a hand on the section marked Silver Hollow.
“They’re wounded,” he said calmly. “But they’re still standing.”
He looked back at the messenger. “I haven’t finished weakening them.”
The wolf nodded. “I understand.”
“We need to stay patient,” Conrad instructed.
“Yes, Alpha.”
“We’ve already done enough for now. If they become too active, they’ll only expose
themselves.”
“I’ll pass the message along.”
Conrad gave a small nod. “You may go.”
The wolf bowed before turning toward the door.
Just as he reached it, another knock sounded.
“Enter.”
The door opened again, and another man walked inside.
He waited until the first wolf had left before closing the door behind him.
He looked at Conrad for a moment before speaking.
“That’s your man, I guess,” Damon said.

Conrad raised an eyebrow. “So?” Conrad asked.
“He looked pleased,” Damon replied.
Conrad said nothing.
Damon chuckled softly. “I’ll take that to mean another one of your plans worked.”
“It did,” Conrad replied.
Damon folded his arms. “You know…”
His expression became more serious.
“You’re playing a dangerous game.”
Conrad leaned back slightly. “I know,” Conrad said.
“I’m serious,” Damon said.
“So am I,” Conrad replied.
Damon sighed. “I still don’t understand this.”
Conrad remained silent.

“I understand strategy,” Damon continued. He gestured lightly with one hand. “I understand wanting an advantage over another Alpha.”
He paused before shaking his head.
“But this? You’re deliberately provoking Alpha Jason… over what exactly?”
“Go straight to the point, Damon. I don’t have time for this,” Conrad replied.
“You’re relying on a mole inside his pack,” Damon said.
“Yes.”
Damon frowned. “You know Jason isn’t a fool… even though he acts like one most of the
time.”
Conrad simply looked at him.
