Chapter 530
FAYE
That night, sleep came surprisingly easily. The moment we got to bed, I drifted off, feeling lighter than I had in a long time. The warmth of his embrace followed me into sleep, and for the first time in weeks, mind was completely at peace.
Then the dream began.
At first, it felt so real that I never questioned it.
I found myself seated at a dining table with Alexander, Irene, and Helen. The room was bright and welooming, filled with easy conversation and quiet laughter. Helen sat at the head of the table with a gentle smile on her face, watching all of us with an expression that could only be described as
contentment.
It looked exactly like the family any mother wanted.
For a while, I simply sat there, smiling as I watched them.
Then everything changed.
Helen suddenly stopped talking.
The smile slowly disappeared from her face.
A thin trail of blood slipped from her nose.
I frowned immediately.
Before I could react, more blood followed.
Then blood began running from the corner of her mouth.
“Helen!” I cried, pushing my chair back so quickly that it toppled behind me.
I hurried toward her, my heart pounding wildly.
“Helen, what’s happening?” I asked desperately.
She looked up at me.
There was sadness in her eyes.
A sadness so deep that it made my chest tighten.
I reached for her.
“I’ve got you,” I said. “You’ll be alright”
Just before my fingers touched her…

She disappeared.
She simply faded away before my eyes.
One moment she was there.
The next…
She was gone.
“No!” I screamed.
Then I woke up.
I sat upright in bed with a gasp, my chest heaving as though I had run for miles. Sweat covered my s and my heart refused to slow down.
The dream had felt too real.
Far too real.
I turned immediately toward Alexander and shook his shoulder.
“Alexander,” I called.
He didn’t respond.
I shook him again, a little harder.
“Alexander.”
His eyes slowly opened.
The moment he saw the look on my face, all traces of sleep disappeared.
He sat up immediately.
“What happened?” Alexander asked, his voice filled with concern.
I struggled to catch my breath before answering.
“I don’t think your mother is alright,” I said.
His expression changed instantly.
“What do you mean?” Alexander asked
“I think Helen is dying,” I whispered
He stared at me in confusion.
“Faye… why would you say something like that?” Alexander asked gently.
I swallowed hard.
“I just saw her in my dream,” I replied. “We were all sitting together at a dining table. You were there. Irene

was there. Helen was smiling, and everything seemed normal.”
1 paused, trying to steady my breathing.
“Then she suddenly started bleeding,” I continued. “First from her nose… then from her mouth. I ran to her, but before I could reach her, she disappeared.”
Alexander remained silent, listening carefully.
When I finished speaking, he studied my face for several long moments.
“You saw all of that in a dream?” Alexander asked quietly.
I nodded.
“I know how it sounds,” I admitted. “But it didn’t feel like a dream.
Alexander frowned slightly.
“What do you mean?” he asked.
“It felt real,” I replied. “I can’t explain it, Alexander. I just know something is wrong. I know Helen isn’t we
He remained quiet, thinking.
Then he reached for my hands and held them gently.
“Your visions again?” he asked.
I shook my head.
“I’m not sure,” I said. “I don’t know how to explain it, but I know what I saw. I can feel it too.”
He looked into my eyes and saw that I genuinely believed every word I was saying.
“Alexander,” I said softly, “please… let’s go and see her now.”
He glanced briefly toward the bedside clock before looking back at me.
“It’s very late,” Alexander replied.
“I don’t care,” I said immediately. “Please, let’s go.”
“I understand why you’re frightened,” Alexander said calmly. “But if we arrive at my mother’s house in the middle of the night, we’ll probably frighten her more than anything else.”
I looked away for a moment before meeting his eyes again.
“I can’t ignore this,” I said quietly “Everything inside me is telling me that something is wrong.”
Alexandei remained silent for several seconds.
Then he nodded slowly.
“Alright,” he said. “We’re not going to ignore it.”
Wage immediately flickered inside me
He gave my hands a reassuring squeeze
‘Til call her now, Alexander said. “We’ll speak to her and make sure she’s alright tonight.”
I watched him closely
“And tomorrow morning,” he continued, “if you still want us to go and see her, we’ll both go together.”
I hesitated
Every part of me still wanted to leave immediately.
But hearing Helen’s voice…
Maybe that would be enough.
I slowly nodded.
“Alright,” I said quietly.
“I just need to know she’s okay.”
Alexander gave me a reassuring look before reaching for his phone.

Chapter 531-1
ALEXANDER
I looked at Faye for a long moment before reaching for my phone.
She was still sitting upright in bed. Her breathing had calmed slightly, but the fear in her eyes hadn’t. I ki that look.
After the ritual and everything that followed, I had quietly assumed that gift had disappeared.
But looking at her now…
For the first time, I wasn’t so sure.
If what she had just seen wasn’t an ordinary dream…
Then there was a very real possibility that my mother was dying.
That thought settled heavily in my chest.
Without another word, I unlocked my phone and called her.
The phone rang several times.
Beside me, Faye watched the screen anxiously, her fingers twisting together in her lap.
Finally, the call connected.
“Hello?” Helen answered, her voice sleepy.
Relief washed over me almost immediately.
“Mom,” I said.
There was a brief pause.
“Alexander?” Helen asked. “Is everything alright?”
“Everything’s alright,” I replied, keeping my voice as casual as possible. “Did I wake you?
Helen laughed softly.
“You certainly did. I wasn’t expecting to hear from you at this hour,” Helen said.
“I know,” I admitted.
Another brief silence followed
“Is something wrong?” Helen asked.
Lhesitated for only a second.
“No,” I replied. “I just wanted to check on you.”
She laughed again.
“You decided to randomly check on me in the middle of the night?” Helen asked.
“I suppose I did,” I said,
“Well,” Helen replied warmly, “I’m perfectly fine. A little grumpy now that you’ve interrupted my beauty sleep, but otherwise I’m alright.”
I glanced at Faye.
She was watching me so intently that I didn’t need her to say anything.
I switched the call to speaker and handed the phone to her.
She accepted it immediately.
“Helen?” Faye called softly.
There was another brief pause.
“Faye?” Helen sounded pleasantly surprised. “You’re awake too?”
“Yes,” Faye replied quietly.
“You two are beginning to worry me,” Helen said with a small laugh. “Did something happen?”
Faye forced a laugh.
“No,’ she answered gently. “I… just wanted to hear your voice. Is that so bad?”
Helen’s tone softened immediately.
“That’s very sweet of you,” she said. “I’m alright, dear. You don’t have to worry about me.”
Faye lowered her eyes briefly before speaking again.
“Are you sure?” she asked softly.
