A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 127

Iris was incensed. She hopped off the bed and stood beside Holden, wrapping a protective arm around her niece, then grabbed her phone.

Declan was using his "insanity" as a free pass to do whatever he wanted in his own home. But she wasn't about to indulge him. She was Nelly's favorite, after all.

She found Nelly's contact and was just about to hit dial.

"Don't move!" Declan roared, dropping his fork and leaping across the room like a madman.

He snatched the phone straight out of Iris's hand and hurled it. It didn't go through the open window; instead, it slammed into the tempered glass. The loud crack echoed through the room as a massive spiderweb of fractures spread across the pane.

The violent noise made Iris jump. Her chest heaved with indignation and unshed tears.

Just wait! If Declan was going to inflict double the trauma, she was going to get double the comfort from Nelly.

She rushed over to the nightstand, grabbed her backup phone, and dialed again.

But the second she unlocked the screen, the madman struck again, ruthlessly tearing the device from her grip. This time, he launched it cleanly through the open window.

Iris stood paralyzed in shock.

That was the latest flagship smartphone! More importantly, it was a gift from Quentin Adams. It held massive symbolic value. She vividly remembered the day she had gone to Winifred's clinic with Kian Jennings to harass her, intentionally triggering Winifred's painful memories. But that very night, Quentin had delivered the phone to Iris as an apology.

Using that phone was a constant reminder of her triumph—proof that Quentin had abandoned Winifred and chosen her side.

Winifred's only pillar of support, Quentin Adams, had defected. He was fiercely loyal to Iris now. It completely isolated Winifred; while Iris was the queen, surrounded by adoration and protection, Winifred was an outcast, targeted and abandoned by everyone she loved.

And Declan had just destroyed that precious symbol.

Tears welled in her eyes as she looked at Holden.

It was fine. She had other options.

She would just borrow Holden's phone to order delivery for Jordyn, reclaim her dignity, and use one of her other phones when she got home. Quentin had bought her ten of them; even with two smashed, she still had eight left.

Iris reached for Holden's phone.

Declan immediately lunged to grab it. This time, Holden stepped in front, shielding Iris.

"Mr. Sutton, calm down. Iris is just ordering delivery."

"No delivery either!" Declan declared, absolutely relentless. "I said the chubby little bear doesn't get to eat. That's the rule, understand?"

*Waaah!*

Jordyn, safe in Holden's arms, completely broke down, crying hysterically.

"You're mean! I'm not a chubby bear! Uncle Holden said I'm the prettiest... prettier than Annelise!"

"Hahahahaha!" Declan roared with laughter, mockingly patting Holden's cheek. "Are you blind?"
