A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 131

"Come over here, all of you, and meet your new aunt," Nelly announced. "Apologize where apologies are due. Make peace where it's needed. From now on, you will treat her with the respect a senior family member deserves."

With Nelly's orchestrations, Iris, Holden, and Jordyn all gathered around.

Winifred hadn't originally cared about Declan's nonsense. However, seeing Nelly call her enemies over to apologize to her... she suddenly found herself appreciating Declan's crazy talk.

She stood there elegantly, a smile playing on her lips.

"Iris, you've had the most conflicts with Dr. Shultz. You go first. Apologize and promise to respect her from now on," Nelly instructed, giving Iris a gentle nudge at her waist to push her to the front.

In Winifred's eyes, Iris's brows were tightly knit.

"Are... are you really going to marry Declan?"

Winifred smiled. "What do you think?"

Declan was unhinged, not even a tenth of the man Holden was. How could she possibly be interested in him?

But it wasn't convenient for Iris to say that out loud. Both the protective Nelly and Declan were present.

Forced into a corner, she lowered her head.

"I'm sorry! Dr. Shultz, let's write off our past grievances. We're family now, and I'll make sure we get along."

Nelly beamed. "Still calling her Dr. Shultz?"

Iris gritted her teeth. "A... Aunt Winifred."

"Yes?" Winifred responded sweetly.

When it was Holden's turn to apologize, the expression visible above his mask was torn.

Winifred felt that one side of him was in shock—shocked that she had climbed over his head to become his aunt, completely pinning him down. It was hard to believe.

After all, since their reunion, Holden had either wanted her dead or was actively trying to kill her. He wouldn't stop until she was destroyed.

Winifred felt the other side of him was pure rage. Holden's heart must be bleeding for Iris, who was forced to apologize with tears in her eyes. His precious darling had been hurt again.

Winifred figured this was the case.

And it made her incredibly happy.

Just like how Holden and Iris took pleasure in seeing her humiliated and reduced to a pathetic state.

Human understanding of emotion was universal. The things that brought them twisted satisfaction were the exact same things that satisfied her now.

Winifred watched his shoulder blades protrude and his neck pull inward.

In the dead silence, a desolate voice rang out. "Aunt Winifred."

"Yes?" Winifred smiled.

A flash of red darted over from the other side of the room. Iris, mad with fury, jumped up and demanded, "Winifred! How could you do this?"

It was too humiliating!

This was her man, the famous heir to the Roland Group in Seaport City.

Winifred was nothing but a stray dog—how dare she be so arrogant?

Holden quickly tried to pacify her. "That's enough, Iris."

"But, Holden..."

He reached back, grabbing Iris and pulling her over to the other side of the bed, putting distance between her and Winifred.

After that, Winifred was invited to the main living room for a chat.
