Quentin claimed he wanted absolute privacy, keeping the research strictly confidential.
Yet Holden waltzed right in. It was obvious—Holden and Quentin were working together.
They had teamed up to strip her bare, manipulate her, deceive her, and humiliate her.
One wanted to drain her blood and sweat to build his corporate empire.
The other wanted her dead just to please his precious Iris.
They were both absolute psychopaths.
Scheming against her in the shadows.
Just as Winifred steadied herself after Holden's intrusion, Quentin arrived.
He was already smiling at the door.
"Winifred."
"Hey, Quentin~"
Winifred pointed to the corner of her workstation, where the "A" Beauty Cream was neatly arranged.
"I finished the fifty sets you asked for today," she said, looking up at him. "I'm sorry it took a while. The weather has been freezing, so Annie and Seth haven't been going to kindergarten. Taking care of them slows me down."
"Oh, it's totally fine," Quentin beamed.
He glanced at the beautifully packaged skincare boxes.
He was thrilled.
Winifred was so obedient, doing exactly what he asked.
He had mortgaged Shelly Hale's family properties, along with his own villa, to secure a $30 million loan.
He dumped it all into Iris-Adams Biopharma. The day he signed the contract to be their Chief Head of R&D, he had immediately sweet-talked Winifred into handing over eight of her premium medical formulas.
That included the Beauty Cream—a holistic skincare formula she had spent over a decade perfecting since her teenage years. She gave it to him without hesitation.
Winifred was forever his Winifred.
No matter how much trauma she endured, her devotion to him remained completely pure.
"Right."
She rubbed her hands together. "That's a shame."
Quentin placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Don't be sad. This batch is going straight to Iris Morgan for a promotional campaign. Your hard work won't go to waste."
Winifred sighed. "I suppose. Having a Reality Show Goddess promote it means at least my fifty boxes will be seen by the public. That's some comfort."
"Exactly~ Good girl."
Quentin smiled and reached out, as if to poke her dimple.
She shyly stepped back, dodging his hand.
"Aww, are you blushing?" Quentin laughed, watching her cheeks flush.
Chuckling, he started boxing up the beauty cream. As he worked, he spoke.
"Oh, by the way, Larissa and Demi came with me. They miss you so much. They're waiting in the car."
