A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 354

Shelly bared her teeth, fiercely swatting away Eleanor's outstretched hand.

She screamed hysterically, "Don't touch me!"

Eleanor cradled her reddened hand and forced an ugly, placating smile. "Look at you, what are you getting so angry about?"

Shelly twisted her neck. "You old hag! How can you stand there acting so calm and then blame me for causing trouble?"

The family had literally gone behind her back to try and pick up Winifred. It made it painfully clear that she, a pregnant woman carrying their flesh and blood, meant absolutely nothing in this house. The moment she gave birth, her usefulness would end. They would absolutely kick her out to make room for Winifred to live happily ever after with them.

Shelly's nostrils flared with rage, her chest heaving as she breathed heavily.

"Don't let your imagination run wild," Eleanor coaxed. "There's no such thing."

Shelly snapped, pointing a trembling finger right in Eleanor's face. "Your entire family is completely ungrateful! You treat me like this and then have the nerve to blame me for overthinking? Are you trying to drive me crazy?"

Having a finger shoved in her face made Eleanor's forced smile finally slip, but she didn't dare argue back fiercely. Her old eyes drifted to the stunning jade bracelet that slipped down Shelly's wrist. In her entire life, she had never seen such clear, beautiful jade.

Shelly's family's financial situation was simply too good. She was practically Quentin's personal bank. Quentin had secured the loan to invest in Iris-Adams, but he had only used the property deeds from Shelly's family as collateral; he still had to pay off the actual loan. If he ran into trouble, her family could easily bail him out again.

"Stop making a fuss," Eleanor said, forcing down her temper.

"Go to hell!" Shelly was blinded by rage, her eyes practically glowing with malice.

Albert finally dragged himself up from the dining table and slowly shuffled toward the stairs.

Larissa rolled her eyes at the old man's back, muttering, "Coward."
