A Wedding Night Gone Terribly Wrong novel Chapter 76

The two children's eyes were full of expectation.

If she said they weren't going in now, Winifred couldn't imagine the psychological trauma it would cause them.

They might think, "Daddy doesn't want us, and Mommy is dead broke," remembering it for the rest of their lives.

Or they might develop an inferiority complex, feeling that they didn't deserve to enjoy the things other people could.

A mother's courage knew no bounds!

Holden was just a man, right?

Why should she hide from him?

It wasn't like she couldn't hold her own against him.

She just hadn't wanted to waste her time and energy bringing up the past.

But if those two scumbags affected her children, she would rise up and fight them to the bitter end.

Winifred snapped back to reality and continued navigating the ticket page.

Oh no.

There had been 58 tickets left just moments ago. In the brief delay, they had completely sold out.

She went back and selected second-tier tickets.

By the time she clicked to pay, the page refreshed and displayed "Sold Out."

"There are only third-tier tickets left." Winifred felt terrible.

She gently stroked the kids' heads. "Babies, is third-tier okay?"

Seth asked, "Third-tier means watching from the outside, right?"

"Yes, sweetie." Winifred's eyes grew hot. "I'm sorry. Mommy got a little distracted."

"It's okay! Seth and I can run under the Glass Sea to watch!"

Annelise shook Winifred's arm. "Mommy, Mommy, it's fine! Seth will take me to see the show!"

Children were so easily satisfied.

As long as they got to go in and had even the tiniest spot, they wouldn't ask for more.

Winifred quickly placed the order, terrified that another second's delay would leave them with nothing.

Four tickets. The four of them held hands like a little train and marched inside.

Their tickets indicated Hall 32.

Celeste observed the area while she ate.

"Winifred, I see an opportunity."

"Where?"

"Look up front. There's a huge section of first-tier seats completely empty."

Winifred took a look.

She stopped a waiter. "Excuse me! I wanted to ask if those empty first-tier seats up front were canceled by a customer? We'd like to upgrade our tickets. The kids are too small; they can't see anything from back here."

The waiter replied, "They weren't canceled. They're reserved."

Celeste chimed in, "But nobody is sitting there."

The waiter clicked his tongue. "A VIP brought his kids to play and didn't want to be disturbed. He bought 30 first-tier tickets at once. Rich people love spoiling their families, so they wanted the whole area empty."

That VIP... was that Holden again?

He really loved Iris. He was spoiling even her family to the heavens.

"I'll go take a look." Celeste dropped her silverware and bounded off.
