After the Fall A Leap into a Stranger's Arms novel Chapter 213

He kept feeling like there was some invisible hand pushing the Blair family forward. Ever since he’d cut off Nestor’s orders, it was like luck had flipped overnight for them. Nestor just kept landing connections with Nexus Dynamics, one after another.

Now Nexus Dynamics had actually acquired The Blair Group. That meant the company was under their protection for real. With Nexus Dynamics’ influence, not even the biggest tech giants could lay a finger on The Blair Group anymore.

Behind him, Shirley spoke up, her voice nervous and gentle. “Waldo, did something happen?”

Waldo sucked in a long breath before turning around to face her. “Shirley, why didn’t you tell me your dad’s company was being bought by Nexus Dynamics?”

“I can’t really tell. It looks like something left behind by someone. I tried to wipe it out, but there was a glitch. The whole system got unstable. It’s like... the watermark is woven into the core code. If we try to force it out, Resonance AI could self-destruct.”

Shirley’s heart dropped and a chill shot through her whole body. A digital watermark in the core code? That shouldn’t even be possible.

Was it left by the original creator? Some kind of signature?

No way. Resonance AI was her best shot at turning things around. It was the project The James Group cared about most, and her biggest bargaining chip for becoming Waldo’s wife someday. If something happened to it, the fallout would be...
