Lawrence stepped out of the car, tall and commanding, his presence impossible to ignore. He reached back, and a slender, fair hand with a simple wedding band slipped into his. Catherine emerged, moving with effortless grace.
They looked like the perfect power couple, both striking and sophisticated. Cameras started snapping in a frenzy, everyone eager to capture the moment.
Catherine wore a cream suit that was simple yet stylish. Her long hair was pulled back, showing off her smooth forehead and elegant neck. Her makeup was subtle, highlighting her natural beauty and giving her an air of calm determination.
As the wife of Nexus Dynamics’ CEO, she didn’t flaunt her wealth. Instead, her understated style made her even more impressive to the reporters, who whispered their approval.
Lawrence slid his arm around her waist and led her toward the courthouse steps. Security made sure the crowd of reporters kept their distance.
Moments later, the motorcade from The James Group pulled up. Waldo got out, his face stormy and tense. He barely acknowledged the cameras, looking like he’d rather be anywhere else.
Shirley followed, sunglasses on, head down, clutching her purse. She tried to take Waldo’s arm, but he shook her off in front of everyone. Hurt, Shirley bit her lip and trailed after him inside.
Soon Nicol arrived, holding hands with a stunning young woman. Someone in the crowd whispered, “Isn’t she that designer? I heard she just won an award abroad.”
Another voice chimed in with a snicker, “No wonder she’s with Nicol. She hit the jackpot.”
Alice put on a polite smile. “Catherine, about this lawsuit with Shirley. We’re all family, there’s no need to make things ugly. For your father’s sake, just give Shirley a warning and let it go.”
Catherine almost laughed. She’d expected Alice to say something like this, but hearing it out loud just made her feel even more disgusted.
“Alice, are you sure we’re family? And does Shirley really need me to teach her a lesson? She’s an adult. She made her choices, and now she has to deal with the consequences. As for my father’s sake…”
Catherine’s voice dripped with sarcasm. “She doesn’t deserve it.”

I’m glad I hung in there for all 368 chapters. This was a really good story!...
They are on a base. Alice and Shirley need to be approved and sponsored to enter. What are they worried for? Can random people just come on base?...
I’m glad the tech team has a conscience. I was also thinking the same thing about the team being the one to build it because Shirley doesn’t code anything....
This hearing is being drug out like one in real life....
How does Shirley think she can dismiss and call witnesses at will in the courtroom, telling Amy that she could leave now?...
The audacity. She just insulted his deceased wife and their child, but she wants justice? 🤣🤣...
This is the most delusional couple. Making up slights against themselves from people who couldn’t care less. Twisting everything into their own narrative of what they think and feel....
Finally. It’s all out there....
I hope he remembers to stop access to anything Alice currently has the rights to take....
Didn’t Alice bring food? She left it. I would definitely have it tested....
