“Why?” I push. “He seems to be haunting you more than he is me.”

I expect him to deny it, but he vigorously nods, “He is.” He admits, “He hurt you, that’s not something I can move on from overnight.”

“Kingston, it’s not overnight.” I sigh, “He is gone, I’m fine.”

“I’m not,” he softly counters, his gaze failing to meet mine. “I’m scared of what I’ll do to you. What if I hurt you?” He asks, his voice breaking. “What if you really do mean stop, and I get going, what if I’m too rough with you? What then?”

“That’s what I want,” I shrug. “I like that side of you too. I like when you’re gentle as well, but overall I just like—love you, Kingston. There’s nothing you’d do to me I’d hate.”

His eyes lift to mine, “You don’t know that.”

“I do,” I confidently argue. “What I don’t know is how to fix this! I don’t want you to be my therapist, I’m in therapy already.” I sigh, “I’m getting pitiful looks everywhere outside this room, and I don’t need that in here. I don’t want that from you, King.
