Alpha’s Rue: His Shunned Luna (Athena Enchanted) novel Chapter 331

“Stop talking about him,” he says, his tone threatening.

“Why?” I push. “He seems to be haunting you more than he is me.”

I expect him to deny it, but he vigorously nods, “He is.” He admits, “He hurt you, that’s not something I can move on from overnight.”

“Kingston, it’s not overnight.” I sigh, “He is gone, I’m fine.”

“I’m not,” he softly counters, his gaze failing to meet mine. “I’m scared of what I’ll do to you. What if I hurt you?” He asks, his voice breaking. “What if you really do mean stop, and I get going, what if I’m too rough with you? What then?”

“That’s what I want,” I shrug. “I like that side of you too. I like when you’re gentle as well, but overall I just like—love you, Kingston. There’s nothing you’d do to me I’d hate.”

His eyes lift to mine, “You don’t know that.”

“I do,” I confidently argue. “What I don’t know is how to fix this! I don’t want you to be my therapist, I’m in therapy already.” I sigh, “I’m getting pitiful looks everywhere outside this room, and I don’t need that in here. I don’t want that from you, King. You’re my mate, not my doctor, if I say I want to be fucked, we work that out, we don’t start discussing my trauma and feeling sorry for me like I’m a charity case.”

His eyes widen, “I don’t feel that way.”

“You do,” I nod. “That’s why you’re so disturbingly gentle with me now, but I’m not made of glass, Kingston. You’re not protecting me like you think you are, you are making me feel weak, you’re hurting my feelings, and you don’t want to stop.”

“I don’t want to hurt your feelings, I’m seriously trying, but I don't know how to—”

“Stick your dick inside me?” I frown. “We’ve done it a thousand times!” I snap, scrambling off the bed. I can’t do this right now, I can’t do the excuses or back and forth while I’m dripping on the sheets for someone who sees me as untouchable now. “You know what? I’m not staying here anymore.”

“What?”

I pull my panties down and throw them at him, “I’m going to my Noah’s.”

“There’s more of him out there.”

“Fine,” I stomp my foot. “I’ll be back, but I’m not staying in here. I don’t want to sleep next to you anymore, figure your shit out. I’m sure Eleanor must be taking new patients.”

“Aeliana,” he sighs, his tone defeated.

“Look at us,” I smile, motioning between us as I back away. “Couple goals.”

“Aeliana,” he repeats, this time more desperate, pleading. It’s more than just my name, there are a thousand words wrapped in it.

I pull the door open and grin wider, “Aeliana is gone,” I say, blowing him a kiss. “Love you, honey.”
